2008 was a difficult and demanding year for all of us. Our nerves got tested with the oil prices, with the financial crisis, with the american elections, to mention but a few. Our eyes saw images like hungry children in Burma and the fights in Tibet. We were astonished by watching the Olympic Games of 2008 in China and of course proud of the athletes taken part, especially those in the Paralympic ones. Of course, we cannot forget the health crime in China with the melamine found in milk and the attack in India.
As a result, we cannot name 2008 as a bright year with joy and happiness and of course we could not characterize it as a terrible one. But what should we expect in 2009?
Let's hope....
- that the conflicts in Gaza will stop
- that the oil prices get down
- that Obama make the change
- that the American Soldiers will return back to their homes
- that the economy rise up
- that we have less AIDS victims
- that developed countries help the African countries
- that there aren't be any conflicts between neighbour countries
- that people are less hungry than before
- that at least one of the endangered species become safe
- that the Amazon forest grow bigger
